Eras Seattle

The commission

A private guest residence designed around light, air, and movement. The space was conceived for its expansive window banks and a window set into the door, drawing daylight deep into the interior, while the main corridor is kept open and clear from end to end. White paint-grade cabinetry keeps the rooms bright and uncluttered, warmed by hickory accents, and blue velvet café cushions bring depth and softness to the seating. Brass fixtures run throughout, chosen to patina over time.

In the bath, lavender porcelain hex mosaic tile sets the tone, paired with a one-of-a-kind pressed-flower door — the flowers grown on the studio’s own farm, pressed by Jennifer Wunder of Golden Poppy Press, and set into the finished panel nearly a year later. Every material was chosen with intention and built to last. Eras takes its name from the passage of time — a work made slowly, by hand, from the ground it stands on.
