A site-specific interior design practice. Residential, commercial, and bespoke object work — undertaken with the same slow, material-led discipline the studio is known for.
Design Services is the half of the studio's practice that lives outside the Airstream. It runs in parallel with our commission work and shares the same conviction: that good interiors are slow, that materials should be allowed to assert themselves, and that the most durable spaces are the ones designed for a single place and a single life.
Led by Negar Vali, the practice draws on a Yabu Pushelberg-trained foundation in proportion, material rigor, and tonal restraint. Each project is approached as a long study of its context — its light, its weather, its uses — before a single specification is written.

Hospitality & retail
Small hospitality projects, ateliers, and retail environments where the interior is the brand. We program for endurance — surfaces that age well, finishes that improve under use.

Furniture & commissioned objects
Site-specific furniture, fixtures, and made objects. Drawn, prototyped, and fabricated in our Coquille shop, often as part of a larger interior project but available on their own.

Material consultation
Material and finishes consulting for owner-builders and other studios who need a second set of eyes on palette, sourcing, or detail. Engaged by the day.

The arc of a Design Services engagement, from the first conversation to a built room. Each phase has its own pace.
01 — Brief
Listen, deeply
We begin with conversation. How the space will be lived in, what it has to do, what is being kept and what is being released. The brief is co-written.
02 — Site
Read the place
We visit. Light is measured, materials sampled in context, neighboring buildings considered. The site is a primary author of the design.
03 — Specify
Draw and source
Plans, elevations, joinery details, material schedules. We specify what we'll fabricate in-house and curate what we won't.
04 — Realize
Build and install
Fabrication moves between our shop and the site. We commission the work as a finished interior — installed, photographed, and handed over.
