Meridian New York City
The commission
A private guest residence with Moroccan flair, built for a life of travel and adventure and featured in The New York Times. At its center is a wood stove, hand-built in the San Juan Islands by Navigator Stove Works — a true working hearth that anchors the space. Hand-painted Moroccan tile carries color and pattern throughout, set against hammered copper accents finished by hand to deepen and patina over time. Paint-grade interiors keep the palette clean and bright, a quiet backdrop for the warmth of the metal and tile.
Every element was chosen for craft and character, drawn from far-flung traditions and made to be lived with on the move. Meridian takes its name from the lines that map the globe — a space made for those who intend to roam it.
